Social Studies Teacher
I currently hold a B.A. in General Studies with a minor in History from McNeese State University, after graduating from DeQuincy High School. I was the first dual enrollment student to participate in the McNeese STEPS program when it was introduced at DeQuincy High School. Participating in this opportunity while obtaining my degree allowed me to experience an in-person dual enrollment program, traveling to McNeese each day from a rural high school environment. This experience enriched my educational journey and allowed me both a unique high school and college experience.
I enjoy spending time with my family, including my cat Gypsy. She is a ginger and is always up to mischief. We also have Honey, who is a 3-year-old Goldendoodle. She loves to play ball and wants everyone’s attention. I raise chickens, mostly Americaunas right now with a few Marans and Rhode Island Reds, as well as a bunch of big white Pekin ducks out on the pond. I love country living and spending time in the outdoors.
