BPSB Outstanding School Support Employees Honored at October Board Meeting

The Beauregard Parish School Board recognized the 2022-2023 Outstanding School Support Employees (OSSE) at the October 13, 2022, School Board meeting and presented each with a plaque.

The Louisiana Department of Education sponsors the OSSE program each year to recognize outstanding employees at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels in the operation of activities not requiring a teaching certificate.

“The nominees for the 2022-2023 Outstanding School Support Employees of the Year display outstanding leadership qualities, inspiring and motivating others in the schools,” said OSSE Program Coordinator Kari Ifland. “They evidence service and achievement beyond what is expected of their job title, exemplify professionalism, and have a good rapport with students, parents, and co-workers.”

Barbara Langston, paraprofessional at DeRidder High School, has been named the Outstanding High School Support Employee of the Year.
